I started as a DJ in 1984, my first year in college at NC State where I was studying in the Technological and Biological Engineering program. I discovered the nightlife scene and the interaction of people and music! During the next few years I DJ'd at several nightclubs in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. I continued building the mobile business on the side, doing college events, weddings, school dances, and birthday parties. I have had the great fortune to make records for DJ record remix companies, and work with some of the best nightclub djs and re-mixers in the southeast.
In the 90's I was a manager for the biggest and best DJ company in NC and helped forge some new ideas and ways of doing business as a DJ. I started my first franchise in my home town of Morehead City back in 2000. We are still adding franchises at a slow controlled pace and hope to cover most of the US by the time I retire.
All these years have enabled me teach other dj's how to quickly work a room, know the hits for particular styles of people and how to read a crowd. Experience is a great teacher in understanding where problem areas have been and how to avoid them in the first place. I have personally done 1000's of weddings and various types of parties.
It is always hard letting another DJ do an event with your name and reputation at stake every time. Trust me when I tell you these experienced DJ's get lots of retraining and work before I am able to let them go out there and rock the house. They do, and they all have my seal and approval when they receive our name on them.

Troy is one of our finest and most experienced DJ's with 15 years in the business. he has been a mangager and head DJ for 2 large DJ and Karaoke companies and is always a people pleaser. His enthusiasm, smile and general fun personality wins over anybody! Troy has played most every venue in the RTP area and most in the Triad too. A truly dynamic speaker and singer, Troy gets the job done with ease and professionalism.

Weddings
One thing is for shure- a regular DJ does not make a great “Wedding DJ”. It does take years of experience and training to understand the protocols of weddings, their timings, general types of people, and how to make all the moving parts work together. Our DJ /MC’s are great public speakers with the right personality to represent your family and elegant style.
Let’s face it: about 70% of the DJ’s out there are cheesy and flaky. The price between a typical DJ and a GREAT Wedding DJ is about $150.00 over the event. Think of it as insurance for the whole reception. It doesn’t take much for a DJ to blow the whole day because of his ineptness! Your DJ will only represent about 2-5% of your total wedding budget but he will be 100% of the entertainment and seen just as much as the bride. Let’s plan to make your event a guaranteed HIT!
